Good question! NBCP volunteers were front and center on It’s my Park! Day and the Greenpoint Gazette took notice. Check out core members Heather and Kate getting (mis)quoted (but, hey!) here.

So Geraldo Rivera planted this tree. It is located between the Dog Run and Green Dome Garden. It is the underdog of trees in McCarren Park, and the NBCP fed it compost on It’s My Park Day. I swear, the tree has straightened up a little bit since then. Seriously.
